When my dream of a studio space began it was partially due to the fact that my clients were wanting that “in-home” feel but they didn’t think there house was ideal for an in home session. Not to mention the fact that you are usually 1-2 weeks in with a brand new human, piles of laundry, dishes and boxes of diapers stacked to the ceiling. When the “P” family first booked with me, my studio wasn’t an option but when they heard it was available they jumped at the chance for the studio.
I think we people hear studio they think it might be stuffy or too “posed” but that is not the case with the KNP studio. It is basically set up exactly like an in home session without the pressure of having a picture perfect home while trying to survive those first few weeks with a newborn. My studio sessions are simple and organic, no fuss or frills because you just don’t need anything else when you have God’s most beautiful gift of all!
The space has a bed, a crib, and beautiful chairs for those timeless images you will cherish forever. I have a changing station for the baby and a feeding area for those times when baby needs a snack. Another great thing is that there is a beautiful park across the street that siblings can go play at with grandparents or an aunt once they are done because we know toddlers don’t like sitting still or being cooped up for too long. I also provide swaddles, attire and simple head accessories so you basically just have to show up. Of course you are more than welcome to bring anything from home as well to incorporate into your session.
The “P” family was my first newborn session in the space and I completely fell in love, and I can’t wait for all the babies that will be coming to join me in the studio in the coming months as well!
