Backyard Wedding Soiree

BettsMade and Ellywise Studios are two Memphis based companies that you need to know! These two power gals team up together quite a bit and they are unstoppable. When I was asked to photograph this “Backyard Wedding Soiree” back in May I was beyond excited and jumped at the chance because it sounded like the way KNP was heading for weddings in the future. KNP is shifting gears when it comes to weddings and really focusing on small intimate gatherings rather than large scale productions. Its kinda where we thrive and really speaks to the way we document a wedding day or elopement. Who would have guessed all that the wedding industry would be thrown in 2020??? I sure did not, but one thing I LOVE seeing are these smaller gatherings for weddings. There is just something so special about it. 4th of July Family Fun

We love holidays! I especially LOVE the 4th of July, it is my second favorite holiday next to Christmas. I love it for many reasons…

We live in the best country in all the world and that should be celebrated
Family time around the pool
Great Food
Fireworks
Great Food… did I already say that?

This year was the first year for the Greystone Pool and it was the most perfect day with family. My husband Kyle grilled pork belly and if you have never had it, you are missing out! He cooks it for hours on the Big Green Egg and fancies it all up! It really is AMAZING! We had onion dip, Captain Rodney’s Dip, fruit dip, ham and cheese sliders, all kinds of sweet treats and homemade ice cream! If you don’t have the Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker you really should get it! 20 minutes and the most wonderful ice cream ever (what is the 4th of July without ice cream)! You also need to get some Pure Mexican Vanilla, I promise you it makes everything BETTER!

We played in the water all day, ate all the things and ended the night with some fishing, fruit tree picking and of course a water balloon fight! It is always a fun time at Chelle and King’s house especially on the 4th of July! I hope you all have fun holiday traditions as well! That is one thing we are BIG on around these parts!

Nash Norrid with the most handsome eyes! I can’t get over this sweet boy, he is the perfect addition to the cousin crew and this was his FIRST 4th of July Celebration!

Greystone has some amazing fruit trees, this peach tree is “Art’s Tree” and boy does it produce a lot of yummy peaches! Perfect for the peach ice cream we made!

I did ALL.THE.THINGS at this awesome session. I shot digital, 35mm, Medium Format and video! It’s honestly how I prefer a session to be and I truly LOVE how it all came together! This post is all about the film though, because to me there is just nothing like it. What do you think? I hope you guys enjoy!

Linn Family Newborn | Memphis Newborn Photographer, Lifestyle Photography, Fine Art Photography

We were thrown a curve ball last week with our website completely crashing + burning. So fun, especially when you give up social media just two weeks prior. All those blog posts that were coming your way went to the back burner because we were in the “getting website fixed zone!” We had no way of getting our leads, communicating etc. Luckily we had some GREAT helpers to get the old site back up while we finished the new site (that was scheduled to launch in October). I have had the wonderful pleasure of documenting all the Linn girls and what a pleasure it has been. It’s so sweet walking in their home seeing past sessions adorning their walls. This was another newborn session that was pushed back a little due to lovely Covid-19, but Covid-19 don’t got nothing on these newborn sessions. I have truly enjoyed these “old” newbies!

Throwing a little personal post in here! I have really caught myself the last few months, and especially the last few weeks reaching for my camera and not my phone when I see my kiddos doing LIFE inside our home, and elsewhere for that matter. We are having so much fun with it! They love helping me with my light meter and coming up with ideas on what to shoot next! They really wanted to photograph a pineapple the other day so that is what we did at the end of a roll. When we got the scans back the first thing they asked me was to see the pineapple picture.

I love these children so much! They are THE reason for what I do, and boy do they make life FULL and FUN!

Family Snapshots, Film Photography, Grain, child model — How is she about to go to Kindergarten? We really had fun playing with shadows this day! Momma got to practice with not ideal lighting and the girls got to wear momma’s beach hat. A Win-Win if you ask me!

Child photography, Child model, Family Snapshots — This girl is MY girl! My middle baby, my little mini, my little firecracker! I love how her eyes almost disappear when she gets her big smile on!

Yall THIS boy! He is just 8 months old, but thinks he is a year old… taking a few steps already! In to EVERYTHING and still sporting ALL THE ROLLS. I love that he is on the move, but he better not get skinny on me!
